Toronto
I am a 23-year old artist with Autism Spectrum Disorder who lives in Toronto.I studied art under my teacher/mentor Julie McMeekin, Director of ArteMbassy Gallery School for about 9 years. As I find language challenging, abstract expressionist art is my way of communicating my ideas and emotions. My work is inspired by my love of nature. I enjoy creating art celebrating the beauty of our forests, oceans, the varied seasons and scenes that I experience when I am out in nature. I work intuitively and respond spontaneously to colour, texture and the painted surface-pure and unaltered by preconceived ideas. My current focus is on fluid art which allows me to indulge in my love of vibrant colours. The acrylic paints are poured on canvas and they flow and blend through different techniques. The joyful flow of colours tell their own story to each person who views them.
I have participated in public art shows such as Toronto Outdoor Art Fair, Riverdale Art Walk, Artwalk in the Square.
