Soco Falls
Rosemarie Armstrong

Soco Falls, at 120 feet in height, is one of very few double waterfalls in the Appalachian region of North Carolina USA. Hike down a steep trail to the base of the waterfall. Experience the magic of the light streaming through the foliage, as the water cascades into a deep ravine. Soco derives from the Cherokee language meaning, “one place”. The Cherokee people used Soco Gap in the 1700’s as place to ambush enemies during the Civil War.
