My work bridges the precision of engineering with the organic rhythms of nature. Each piece starts as a quick, gestural sketch, which I translate into CAD models for scaling and digital slicing. In my workshop, I bring those plans back into the physical world by tracing and cutting sections from high-grade birch plywood, then stacking and gluing them into a stepped block. Then comes the labour-intensive part: manually carving and sanding the wood into a fluid object. The process transforms a flat industrial material into something suggesting snow drifts, waves, and local geology—a hybrid of mathematical functions and nature. Protected with varnish and routed with keyholes, the sculptures hang flat on the wall in various orientations.

I have worked as a full-time artist since 2007. My perspective is shaped by living in Italy, Spain, England, Venezuela, and California. I'm now based permanently in Guelph, where I live with my spouse and two teenage daughters.
