Jeanette received a BFA (Honours) from the University of Manitoba School of Art in 1974. She subsequently lived and worked in Montreal, Vancouver, Windsor and London. She registered West Wind Studio in 2002, while in Windsor. Since late 2024, she has based her studio practice in Ridgeville, Ontario.
Marshall taught for seven years at the Art Gallery of Windsor and Museum London. Her work has been presented in over 100 exhibitions, including 11 solo and three in the United States, and is held in private collections across Canada and internationally. Her paintings are recognized for their disciplined use of light, refined colour relationships, and attention to aesthetic nuance, engaging both intellectual inquiry and emotional response.
