St. Catharines
Laurie Morrison is a Niagara-based artist and is currently pursing a degree in visual arts. With travel restricted during the early years of the pandemic, Laurie turned her focus on what was close to home - her own backyard. Her work is a blend of digital, experimental analogue, and cameraless photography. Her work draws connections between the physical environment and the ever-shifting ways we think about time and place. The analogue processes she works with also become experiments in environmental sustainability through the introduction of a range of organic materials and eco-photographic chemistry into the creative process.
