I get my inspiration of painting from nature in and around North America. My artistic process involves taking notes from nature while visiting lakes, trails and provincial parks. I dedicate a significant amount of time doing plein air studies on location and subsequently doing larger works in my studio. I take great pride in being a self taught artist and I always find myself taking something ordinary into the world of something extra ordinary, thought provoking that illuminates the world not only visually but also spiritually.
