12 Spalted Sugar Maple Bowl

James Pook

Maple is Canada’s national tree. Spalting is a form of wood colouration (e.g., black and brown lines) caused by fungi and is characteristic of the initial stages of decay. Utilizing a simple bowl design allows the spalting to be the primary focus of interest. Each wood turned item is hand sanded and sealed with a food-grade, highly durable gloss finish.
