Cathy Peters approach to creating a painting is very intuitive. Layering paint, sometimes introducing collage materials and applying textures are all elements that reveal her artistic interpretation and individuality.

"I consider the development of my art to be “from soul to hand”.   The art I create is an intuitive expression of a subject and/or a reaction to the moment. Expressing those moments on paper or canvas in shapes and colours creates a visual impact that I hope the viewer enjoys. As an artist, my goal is to create a feeling in a painting that echoes a mood or emotion and I rely on the viewer to complete the visual interpretation".
