More than capturing a moment, Robert aims to tell the story of his subjects by translating images with acrylic paint.

"My focus is on the beauty of all animals, ultimately helping those most endangered. My process involves photographing subjects at their most revealing and using these as references to portray them from the inside out.  Every painting poses its challenges, such as introducing new painting techniques, or the subjects themselves. A picture is worth a thousand words, but a painting can speak them".
