Want to learn more about the music presented at the Festival? Every year the Festival features live music as arranged by Jim Casson, a well-known Fonthill professional drummer and percussionist musician who happens to be the son of Marilyn Casson, an original Festival Volunteer. Typically, on the Friday evening Opening Night, the music is energetic, engaging and wonderful. On Saturday the music is quiet background style, and on Mother’s Day Sunday, the background music tends to be a little more upbeat.

We all find new ways to enjoy and experience art and music. If you look, "Art" is everywhere in everyday things. Even though this style of music may not have been heard at our previous In-person Festivals, it is certainly appropriate for the online experience. Check out the following links:

"Dmitri" by The Reluctant Cosmonaut from the album "Ninety-Three Days". Jim Casson - piano, synth, gongs, composer, director available on iTunes and Bandcamp. This is an artsy, atmospheric piece that reflects the early days of the COVID-19 shutdown experience.

Here is another video that Jim Casson recorded with a group called 'The New Normal', which he is a part of. We invite you to listen...it's to a reggae beat and is called... “Six Feet Apart”...about the pandemic. Music inspired by COVID-19!!

This next one sounds more like what you might typically hear at an in-person Festival. This is from local musician Mark Lalama’s new project. Provided to YouTube by CDBaby Walk Me Home · Dizzy & Fay Walk Me Home ℗ 2021 Dizzy & Fay Released on: 2021-02-12 Auto-generated by YouTube.

The 35th Pelham Art Festival in 2022

Pelham Art Festival 2022, the Premiere Southern Ontario Spring Art Festival held in the spacious Accipiter Arena at the Meridian Community Centre, 100 Meridian Way, in the Village of Fonthill, Town of Pelham, Ontario, a must for art lovers; a show and sale of prestigious original fine art by artists and artisans who collectively present thousands of choices in a vibrant array of style, medium and message.

Opening Night Friday

Opening Night presented the first opportunity to find and purchase favourite pieces of artwork. Everyone enjoyed live musical entertainment at the 2022 Festival, sampled complimentary hors d’oeuvres catered by Nature's Corner Bakery and Cafe, with Tuba 4, Jazz with piano, voice and tuba and all enjoyed Niagara wines served in our Wine Garden.

Saturday

The live musical entertainment continued with Carol Farrar, Niagara harpist. Saturday is "meet the artists" day and for enjoying artists' demonstrations. The attending Festival public and our artists enjoyed a delicious a la carte luncheon in our Salvador Deli catered by Nature’s Corner Bakery and Cafe while the popular Art Scavenger Hunt for children opened.

Sunday

Sundays are a celebration of Mother's Day, the perfect day to invite Mothers to admire inspirational works of art and select the perfect piece just for them. It's the day to treat her to a fantastic Mother’s Day Luncheon, catered by Nature’s Corner Bakery and Cafe in our onsite Salvador Deli. The Wine Garden remained open and singer-songwriter Doug Mundy on piano entertained the Mothers and their families. Art demonstrations and the popular Art Scavenger Hunt for children continued to engage everyone.
