Beak

'Beak' is about the persona or mask that we wear in public to appear civilized and to fit in with whatever the current social norms are. I've found that as I age I am more and more likely to let that mask slip, to say what I think and not really care what other people think of me. The critter in this piece has been wearing an enormous false beak, (mask), but it's about to fall off revealing her true self with all its light snd darkness.
