Madrigal
Barbara Staulus
This painted collage is part of a small series called “A Concise History of Music.” The name of the series refers to the book that was used to create the first layer of paper in the paintings. A madrigal is a song for two or three unaccompanied voices. The compositions in this series are intended to reflect the ephemeral qualities of music, with a combination of balance and movement in the design. These works are coated with an archival varnish to protect from UV damage.
