WILLOW

This acrylic painting on canvas board is of a music artist called WILLOW. It was a school project that took as an opportunity to experiment! I enjoyed it a lot and it was meant to help us better understand how light and shadow work both on a subject. We each got to choose a photo, so I thought that the metal's reflectiveness in Willow Smith's necklace and piercings would make for an dynamic range of shades to work with, which proved a challenge to keep consistent.
