To me a painting has to capture the drama and personality of the subject. I have  learned so much about the natural world since studying wildlife,  I have  discovered an abundance of wildlife even in my own  backyard like  Deer, Blue Herons, Night Herons, Cardinals, Blue Jays, Red Tailed Hawks and the Owls in Gibbons Park here in London.  In the summer I am off to Cape Breton to visit my parents and more wildlife like Bald Eagles, King Fishers Coyotes, Loons and Whales, Puffins.
