As a resident of the tranquil landscapes north of Katarokwi/Kingston, Ontario, my artistic journey is a testament to the transformative power of embracing life's colourful moments. My name is Lisa Leskien, and through my brightly-coloured, whimsical paintings, I strive to infuse the world with joy, and hope.

After nurturing the imaginations of young minds for nearly two decades as an elementary classroom teacher, I embarked on a soul-stirring return to my creative roots. Armed with a BFA and a Bachelor of Education, my artistic expression is deeply rooted in both formal training and lived experience.

My paintings serve as snapshots of the everyday magic that surrounds us. From documenting the sunlight dancing on the leaves of trees along a trail, to the scene of a colourful hat display outside a small shop, to capturing the inquisitive gaze of one of my backyard chickens, each canvas is a celebration of life's fleeting moments, rendered in vibrant hues and playful compositions.
