Marilyn Leola Brown was born and raised in Ontario Canada. Marilyn grew up on the farm and has always been close to animals and nature. Mother Nature has inspired many paintings over the years. Marilyn discovered her drawing and painting abilities in college where she studied Interior Decorating. One of the courses was drafting and design. This started Marilyn painting many different buildings and later doing commissions of people homes and business for them. She also studied painting techniques with Hessel Pape, these were oil on canvas. She studied watercolor painting with Helen McKenna. Marilyn now paints with acrylic paints as well as pen and ink.
Marilyn has done commission paintings of many of the churches in her area. She has painted private homes and business some of which can be seen on the Georgina Chamber of Commerce web-site. Marilyn would be happy to paint a special building or picture of your choice for you as well.
