Nuria Cuerva Lopez
Nuria is a local Burlington artist, originally from Spain but calling beautiful Canada home for the past 22 years. She specializes in painting landscapes, animals and portraits in oil and soft pastels in her studio. During Covid times she discovered Plein air painting allowing her to get out and explore nature around her.
She paints in a realist style with a strong influence of impressionism with a vibrant array of colours. Nuria studied sketch courses at ACAD, pastel and oil painting at the Burlington Artist Gallery with Joan Ng in Burlington and is currently studying oil painting online with Angel Montero from Spain.
Her recent artistic endeavours and experience include her AGB membership, Guild of Fine Art with BFAA membership, exhibiting at the Art Gallery of Burlington, a Special Merit Award for her painting “The Proud Dancer” in Canadian Marketer Art Magazine, a commission for Enbridge Prism that embraces the LGBTQ+ community and “Art Show International Gallery” Flower show Honorable Mention Award.
