Fairlane on the Green

Inspired by one of my visits to rural Waterloo, I placed a classic two tone Fairlane in front of lone barn on a hill. Green on green. Original oil paintings begin with a concept from photographic reference taken at classic cars shows, rural areas, making the painting experience truly personal. Images are compiled and a composition emerges. I begin with a detailed pencil sketch and then apply colour using a poppyseed oil medium. Finished with a Satin varnish. Unframed but ready to hang.
