Ontario College of Art graduate. Worked as an illustrator and graphic designer for many years. Now a Niagara-based visual artist, my current series of oil paintings, Rustic Chrome Series, was inspired by a visit to the Canadian Transportation Museum. Painted in a highly detailed surrealist style, these paintings feature 1950s classic cars and, bright, striking colours of summer days in rural settings. Nostalgic imagery evokes memories from a previous era and moods of simpler times. As a compliment to Rustic Chrome, my Rural Atmospheres series of paintings also feature rural settings but have big dramatic skies that represent my personal way of seeing everyday objects in spacial scenes such as barns, farmers fields and skies in a surrealistic manner.
