Rockway Barn Crown Vic

Part of my Rustic Chrome series of paintings, this piece a classic two tone Crown Victoria with open hood in the rural Rockway area of St. Catharines. Original oil paintings begin with a concept from photographic reference taken at classic cars shows, rural areas, and barns, making the painting experience truly personal. I begin with a detailed pencil sketch and then apply colour using a poppyseed oil medium. Finished with a Satin varnish. Framed with red stained 1 x 3 cedar and ready to hang.
