St. Catharines
I use masks to explore the idea that we often judge each other and ourselves by what we see on the surface. Each of these masks has a rich and often earthy or mysterious interior which cannot be seen unless the mask is turned over or lifted. The imagery refers back to, and was inspired by pandemic mask wearing, when it was clearly understood that we were not seeing the whole person. I've shown my work at the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair; the Jackalope Gallery, Toronto; the TAG Gallery, St. Catharines; the Pelham Art Festival and Art at the Pumphouse, NOTL. I have a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Waterloo.
